This past week, I had the incredible opportunity to visit the Chicago Fire FC training facility and watch the first team’s training session up close. As someone who has lived and breathed soccer for a lifetime, it’s always a privilege to step into spaces that are built around excellence, professionalism, and passion for the game.
During my visit, I had the honor of meeting and exchanging ideas with Coach Greg Berhalter, whose experience and leadership in U.S. Soccer speak for themselves. Being able to talk soccer with someone who’s been on the biggest stages in the world was both inspiring and affirming. I also connected with other staff members who welcomed me warmly and reinforced how much collaboration and openness still exist at the highest levels of the game.
Every time I’m in environments like this, I walk away with new insights. Whether it’s observing how training sessions are structured, how players respond to coaching cues, or how staff dynamics work behind the scenes, I treat every moment as a learning opportunity. For me, growth never stops, especially when the goal is to help more athletes thrive in high-performance environments.
I was also gifted a beautiful Chicago Fire jersey by Coach Greg, which I’ll be using to create social media content — a perfect gesture that shows how the MLS is actively growing its reach, especially in countries like Brazil, where more and more fans are becoming engaged with American soccer.
Soccer is a global language, and moments like these remind me why I love what I do. Thank you to Chicago Fire and Coach Greg Berhalter for your generosity and for opening your doors to me. Until next time!
